Antenna Mast Replacement 900

Yes, there is a metal jacket between the antenna and the mast holder. Penetrating oil will help, but it is hard to get it in because the metal is so tight.
What I did was place the antenna motor/bracket in a vice, gently, don't bend anything! Then, with a pair of regular pliers placed behind the antenna tip (the pliers have a 1/4 inch opening right behind the point when closed), I tapped the pliers with a hammer quite hard. This will force the holding tube to come out of the motor mast.
Grease up the metal piece before putting it back on.
