Removing Drivers Door Inside Panel 900 1992

Dear jimNphx,

Good p.m. and may this find you well. Here's how:
(a) Remove the speaker cover, by sliding it towards the door's leading edge (the side of the door, on which the hinges are attached)
(b) In the well, in which the inside door release handle is found, there's a round plastic fastener, with a slot in it. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to turn the fastener 90 degrees, and remove it
(c) Remove the plastic well, starting at the trailing edge of the door (closest to the lock button). You will need to press on the upholstered panel, so that the inner edge of the well, will clear the edge of the upholstered panel. Plastic gets brittle, when it is old, so go gently. Do this on a warm day, if possible, as old warm plastic is more flexible, than is old cold plastic.
(d) At the bottom of the door panel, on the underside, there are three slots. Through those slots, you can access three white plastic clips. Using your fingertip, or a narrow, flat-blade screwdriver, pull the clips straight down, and set them aside.
(e) To remove the door panel, lift up, will pulling the bottom edge slightly (2-3") away from the door frame.
(f) The panel is attached to the door frame by the speaker wires (two connectors) and the red, door-open warning light (one white plastic connector).
(g) Once you remove the two speaker wires, and the warning light connector, you can set the panel aside.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

spook
