Where did my new oil go after 1280 miles? 700 1992

Good Evening all

I have a situation with my '92745t. got an oil change last week and a few other little things done to my car at the indy volvo shop because i was taking a little road trip. Well i just got back this morning and while driving home i noticed that when i give it a little gas from a stop light, the oil light would come on for like a second then go off. At first i just thought it was me seeing things because it was about 7:30 am and i was tired from the 8hr drive but then it happened again. I WAS ROLLING TOO! kept the foot down averaging about 75 and 85 MPH on the highway. So when i got home i let it cool down for minute or so before shutting down, then checked the oil dip stick and it was REALLY LOW and black. i got an oil change last Wed. and i left Fri. night and returned this morning.1280 miles round trip.

After getting some rest and going out to stuff out of the car.i checked the oil dip stick and it was BONE DRY! i mean no oil at all on the dip stick! i have a habit of checking under my car where ever i'm parked to see if there are any oil/tranny/coolant leaks. None. checked the oilpan for oil residue. everything is dry under there.
could it possibly be that i went thru 4/5 quarts of new oil in 1280 miles? i mean it was hot and dusty in Memphis Tn. i was thinking that maybe they forgot to actually do the oil change but it looks like they did replace the oil filter.
I'm concerned about driving now! i did add a quart of oil to the engine. i can't tell if they actually gave me an oil change.Usually i check it after getting the oil change but this time,i just ASS SUMED! i did noticed that when i hit the gas, i would get smoke from the exhaust.The car has 144XXX on the speedo.
What should i do now?
