overdrive 700 1989

You might of blown the fuse or mostlikely, have a bad overdrive relay. Both are located in the center console. I would check the fuse, and if its not blown, check the relay. It's a white square top relay.

The best thing to do, rather than ever having to worry about the damn thing going out on you or bad relays is to just neuter the overdrive relay. Its a rather simple thing, takes about 30 mintues, if even that. This way the car always has the overdrive and it always will kick in when it needs to. The only side effect of this is that you can never take it off if you need to tow or anything like that. If you would like instructions on how to do this, feel free to email me.

The service light has to be reset by removing the instrument panel and pressing the button behind the odometer. This light comes on ever 5000 miles or so.
