How to determine if you have R12 or R134? 900 1992

I'm curious on my 92 960 if I have R12 or R134 refrigerant in the AC system. Is there a simple way to tell (additional parts added with the R134 retrofit?)

My '91 244 had a light blue sticker mentioning the retrofit, but my wagon has no indication.

The AC works, but not at peak levels, and I'm curious.

My compressor has grime all over the front of it behind the pulley. Lord only knows how many more days it has left in it.

Being that my car has the auto climate control stuff, it'd be nice to have a working compressor and AC system though.
