AMM adjustments with dwell meter 200

Anyone done this? According to the Bentley manual you can adjust the CO with the AMM screw and Dwell meter. It said it should fluctuate between 20-70 degrees. Mine goes between 20 to 100. If I adjust the screw one way it will stay at 20 but if I adjust the other way it stays at 100 I basically split the difference and it fluctuates between the two.

Am I anywhere near being correct?

I also adjusted the base idle before and after and then checked the Dwell again.

Any Ideas if this is correct?

Thanks in advance Chris
