Question about automatic overdrive 200 1993

"The rear end gear ratio of an automatic is higher (lower numericaly) than the stick cars so the rpm/mph ratio is quite low."

Dave,

Like you, I don't see high revs as a major issue. Which is good because my '93 940 has a 4.10:1 rear end (no stick models to compare to). Owner's Manual says the turbo is 3.73:1.

My n/a bogs down real quick on steep, secondary hills, so I appreciate the downshift feature (which I don't equate with the kick-down cable). But so far, hills on the interstates haven't been a problem, where I can stay at 3000 or above.
