Some more info on 'warped' rotors

This is going to contradict a thread below but here goes.

Friend had 90 245. a few thousand miles his car is shimmying to a stop. Under warranty the dealer says , "Warped Rotors" Replaces Rotors and nearly new Pads. a few thousand miles, same issue. back to the dealer.. "Warped Rotors"
Dealer puts new Pads and Rotors on. Nearly at the end of his warranty, back to the dealer for the same issue. The Dealer puts on New Rotors and Pads.
He's told by some independent source that the Volvo Pads are too hard, too much metal and they play havoc with soft spots on the Discs. He leaves the Dealership with all new stuff again, hits NAPA ofn the way home, buys semi metallics. He's had the same trouble free rotors for over 100K using semi metalics.
Draw you own conclusion.
