1996 960 Will Not Stay Running After Accident 900 1996

My teenage son's 1996 960 will not stay runnning after he damaged the front end on the car. The airbags did not deploy. The bumpers did not meet during the accident, so the brunt of the impact was absorbed by the headlights, left fender, A/C condensor, hood, and radiator. The radiator fan was pushed up to the timing belt cover, but there was no damage to the cover.

I checked the timing to make sure that the timing belt did not jump a tooth. All of the timing marks lined up perfectly. I installed another radiator and replenished the anti-freeze. The car started right away but died almost immediately. Now, I need to motor it before it fimally starts, but it only runs for about two seconds. It acts like that it's not getting enough fuel. There is also a buzzing sound coming from behind the dash from some type of warning device.

Is there is fuel pump safety cutoff or some other safety device to prevent you from running the car after an accident.
