Some strange electrical problems... 200 1980

Switch in another alternator eg. from your '79 or PickNPull. The glowing amp light is often a sign of poor contact of regulator brushes to slip rings. The rings may be worn or dirty/corroded.

Btw, welcome back. Seems like you are over that "bump" and can get back to working on your 240s.
