Ceramic cam lifters, interesting ! 120-130

I'm guessing the lifters you had the problem with are Volvo.
Some of us have been using chevy lifters for decades without a problem, and on engines that turn 8,000 rpm. There's certainly no reason to go to expensive lifters on a street engine. The SBC lifters cost less than Volvo replacements. Yes, they are heavier, but not enough to be a problem.
