245 Hole in Fuel Line 200 1986

'86 245

hello bricksters,

My 240 has a hole in the fuel line right after the fuel filter going towards the engine/injectors. I believe the leak is attributed to the 90 degree bend the hose has to undergo after the filter and to run parallel with the length of the car. Anyways, it seems like the line is felxible and of some plastic makeup. I need to replace it cause it is causing low fuel pressure and pinging. My questions are:

What kind of fuel line do i replace it with?
Where do i get it?
Can i splice the section where the hole is, or do i have to replace the whole line?
Are there any special tools needed to secure hose to fittings?

Also, I'm not looking for the most expensive/perfect fix! Something that will work, but not fail in the next couple of years.

thank you much,

daniel
