1990 K10042 Speedo Question 200 1990

I am looking for someone to tell me about 3 of the wires that connect to the instrument cluster. I know where the full moon and half moon connect and the L-shaped plastic connecter, but there are 3 other wires that are in the harness.

Two of them have larger female connectors and appear to attach to a U-shaped connector that is to the left of the speedo unit. One is yellow, the other is red-yellow.

The 3d wire is red-yellow and has a smaller hard plastic female connector. I am not sure where this connects but it was connected to the lower (left) of the cluster. I have heard this might be the tach wire (don't have a tach) and if it was in fact connected, something may have been fried.

I was also poking around the rear diff and located the electric speedo connection. The wires were frayed at the plastic connection, so I removed, cleaned up, and covered with elect tape. Any problems this could have caused?
