Fitting oil pressure sender 200

I got the pressure sender and adapter from a dealer with no instructions. The adapter is like a plug with a hole in it but what are the two brass fittings for? There is also a much smaller plug with a hole in it that doesn't fit anywhere.

Does the sender screw directly into the adapter and nothing else is used?
