Is there a way to remove a steering column with the steering wheel locked? 200 1980

According to the procedure in the Bentley manual, the steering wheel needs to be unlocked in order to pull a steering column.

The problem is, that I don't have any of the keys to any of the cars in the junk yard that I'd be pulling a steering column from.

Any ideas on a work around for this?

Also, once I do pull a steering column, is there a way to swap ignition locks with the one I already have in my wagon? I'd rather keep my current set of keys for my '80 then have to have separate keys for the ignition and doors (already dealt with that on my former '77...)

Thanks as always.
