A possible speedo problem 700 1989

Hi All

I have a noise coming out from under my dash in my 89 740Ti. I noticed it varies with the speed I am doing. And it gets worse the faster I go

I have a electric speedo in my car are there any gear in the speedo unit that get noisy when the car gets older

Does anybody have photos of the gears in the speedo. Or links to a page with a photos of the gears in the speedo
