changing steering pumps 700 1986

I am purchasing a 1986 740Turbo with the remote steering pump reservoir, as a replacement vehicle till I get my wifes' 960 back on the road (blown t'belt).
The 740 needs the steering pump replaced. How intensive a job is it? The car comes with a 87 parts car, so I intend simply swapping pumps. Will the hoses need replacing as well, or are they easy to get off intact?
TIA
