changing steering pumps 700 1986

Last time I changed the pump, the hoses came off easily. Just remember that after you change the pump and fill with fluid, turn wheels all the way to left and right until you work out the groaning sound (air out of system).

Not a bad job, just a little messing with the fluid. So a piece of cardboard under the car may be advisable with a drain pan and rags ready to catch fluid as you loosen the connections.
