On going problem with struts clunking noise wheel bearing?

Since there are just the two studs/nuts attaching them to the shock tower under the hood, it is possible to get the upper strut mounts in backwards on a 740. Please don't ask me how I know this. :-)

I put the driver side mount in backwards when I did struts on my '91 745T. It pulled to that side and made a clunk when going over bumps. Took me about a week of driving it around and scratching my head to figure out what I'd done. Pulled it apart, turned it around and reinstalled. No problems in two years and about 20K miles...
