Which '73 164 transmission filter? 140-160

I changed the the fluid and filter in the automatic transmission with a Wix filter kit. (Only $8) The kit came with two different filters (screens) but I saw the transmission only had one of them (the front one) installed when I pulled the pan. I went ahead and installed both screens anyway. I refilled the transmission (total of 5 quarts) yesterday. This morning there is a big puddle of fluid on the ground under the trans vent tube. Did I overfill the transmission (I dont think so) or should I not have installed the rear screen?
