Clunk sound 700 1988

Hi
Need help in identifying a clunking sound. My wife's 88 740 wagon has a distinct clunk sound that sounds when going over bumps or potholes. It appears to be mostly coming from directly underneath the passenger seat. I suspect either the right engine mount or the trans mount. I checked the exhaust system and it seems tight, but was able to move the engine and trans up by lifting cat by hand. Am I on the right track or is the sound coming from some other failing part?
