Wrong O2 Sensor?? 200 1993

I recently purchased an O2 sensor courtesy of FCP Groton for my '93 240, per the advice of the members of this board. I received my sensor and went to put it in. The only problem was that the part i received had a male end connector as did the connector which was right under the hood. I am completely lost as to where the error took place. Hoping you can help me.
