Bypassed Continuous Injection system relay

I own a 1985 760 Turbo, oneowner, 194K miles. I want to get 200K at very little additional cost.

I have always had trouble with the Continuous Injection System Relay. The last time I had trouble, I believe the mechanic removed the relay and wired around it or somehow did hair pin wiring because the relay is not there, but the car runs fine.

What are the repercussions and potential problems with this?
