960 no start problem 900

How many computers are on a 960? One

Will a 92 960 computer drive a 93 960 motor? Maybe, maybe not. There are 4 different part numbers in Vadis for that control unit and it depends upon with or with out EGR, the chasis break, and whether or not it is a wagon or a sedan.

Your guess at a smoked ECU may very well be on the money, especially since it won't respond to the blink box commands. The only thing you can do past that would be to hook up a break out box, get the schematic and check your powers and grounds for the ECU. If is all there then you need to check your incoming signals like the crank and cam sensors. If you can determine that all powers and grounds are present and that all of the incoming stuff is good and the control unit is still unresponsive then you may very well need an ECU, bummer for ya if that is the case.
