Ignore this duplicate post, Sorry! 200 1989

Hi all,
I swapped in a new instrument cluster from my new acquisition an 89 245 into my current project/driver, an 89 244. Well the odo works for the first time since I've owned the car but the fuel gauge reads low, when I filled it today the car took a lot less gas than normal for a fill. Now it's very full as I didn't believe the tank was full and topped it off until I couldn't. The gauge is reading just under 3/4 of a tank when full. The guy I bought the wagon from said it always read about half of what was in there. I kind of assumed it was a fuel sending unit issue, but no. Does anyone have any ideas on the fix?
Thanks, Palmer
