Follow up on 88 740 GLE with B230F engine 700

Hi everybody,
I posted a massage couple of days ago about my car not running.. It starts right up but dies after a sec... It was acting like there is not enough fuel going to the engine.. So I jumped the Fuel pumps and heard both of them running... they checked ok.. Then i decided to take the fuel pressure regulator of and I did it... but there was no fuel pressure int he fuel rail which is odd... no fuel leaked whatever.. So i decied to check my spark plugs and they were dry really dry... Now i am assuming (I know assumption is bad..) that I have bad FPR. There is different parts number lister for 88 model ending with 292 and 89 model ending with 294.. Do you guys know the differance? and is there anything or advice you might wanna add...
thank you
Sammy
