Hi all...
My current brick is relatively new to me and I've never had to work on the AC before. When I bought the car, the AC worked fine but wasn't blowing extremely cold air. Shortly after I bought it, the AC stopped working. The PO said that the AC wasn't working. I was pleasantly surprised when it did. I assumed that there was something major wrong with the system and as I'm unemployed right now, I put it on the back burner. I had some time on my hands today and I started poking around. I popped the fuse cover and immediately noticed a blown fuse. It just so happened that the blown fuse was the AC fuse. I also noticed that the fuse cover says the AC fuse is an 8 amp fuse. However, the blown fuse is a 16 amp fuse. I didn't have a spare 8 amp fuse, so I put another 16 amp in its place. Voila, the AC worked......for a little while. The 16 amp fuse has blown again. I understand that a blown fuse is usually the result of an open circuit. However, I have no clue where to begin looking for the wiring. Any help would be greatly appreciated as the Texas heat is becoming unbearable.....
