Airbag question 700 1990

I asked this question about a week ago, but got no responses so I figured I'd try again. My 1990 780 had the airbag removed before I got it, since the PO needed the clockspring for another car. Then the car was started & driven a few times, setting the SRS light on the dash. With everything reassembled now, the light is still on. How do I reset it or check for codes? The FAQs describe a test point on the front of the fuse panel, but the 4 fuse sockets there each have fuses in them and 2 leads each, rather than the 1 lead which the SRS test point is described as having. Am I overlooking something here? And should disconnecting the battery reset the SRS light? Any advice is appreciated - I'm not a real fan of airbags but I'd rather know that the system is working right than have a dysfunctional incendiary device pointed at my face... As a last resort I'd swap to a non-SRS wheel. Thanks!
