Download the booklet, look through it so you know what the sections are and take the test with the book next to you. With the cert' if anyone tries to turn you in for working on your AC you're covered. I've bought several different batches of refrigerant and been asked about 1/2 of the time for my cert' the rest of the time it was $$ only. I haven't bought R-12 with it however, I figure I'll need it for that if I ever run out.
