Hello. Its been very hot and humid here in the Toronto Ontario (Canada) area for the last week. There has been no rain at all. My wife and I went to a wedding tonight and while I was getting my daughter out of the back seat ... I was shocked to see the back passenger side floor absolutely soaked with water (about half inch of water). I looked on the floor in the front passenger side and found the floor wet as well (not as much). I suspect that the water is coming from the air conditioning system and is not draining on the outside (rather than the bloody inside !!). I had the evaporator replaced in Novemeber at McMillan & Saunders (dealership) because I still have an extended warentee on the car. I was unable to really test the system for a long period of time because it wasn't that warm out at the time (November). At the same time, I asked them to look at a hissing sound when I engaged the recycle button next to the air conditioning button. They told me that the flapper under the glove box was stuck and would be very expensive to get at it. So it left that alone. Perhaps they installed something incorrectly. Now that its been really warm and humid, the air conditioning system is really being tested. Its cold and working .... but I will not be turning it on until I get to the bottom of this.
Can anybody please shed some light on this issue ? I am planning on taking the seats out and letting the carpet and floor dry ASAP to prevent rusting.
Thanks,
Frank-V
