What size is the return rubber hose connection at the gas tank/pump location, Please help!! 700

Hello guys!

Does anyone know as to what is the precise size of the hose (gas proof) that runs off of the pump at the tank? I have heard 3/8"? Is it 5/16"? Also is the hose under a great deal of pressure? Would I have to get pressure hose? My gas leak is slightly streaming down from the pump in tank side of the gas tank from the very upper left hand (driver's side) corner of the tank. I am just not too sure as to what size that I would need? Also how many feet should I purchase? One last thing, how much confinement are we talking to remove the old hose and install the replacement? Thanks In Advance!!

1989 740 GLE 403,000 original miles same as above, these cars can run!!!!
