Lights gone dimmer 900 1993

I don't drive it everyday, so I can tell that my better half's 1993 945T does not shine its lights as brightly as before.

Is there some common corrosion related issues with the 900 series? Is it the grounds, relays, switches? Where should I start looking?

Also, is there a way to upgrade the cabin light/map lights (to more brightness)? They are so dim, even when new, and look like a practical joke.
