Stall when highway speed what to look for? 200 1989

Hello Bricksters

Driving home yesterday on a very hot day (90+deree) on the highway 50mph+ suddenly a loss of acceleration and begin to slow down, floor the pedal nothing happens. I coast to the emergency lane, and thinking to get off next exit, but was 1/4 mile short,car come to a complete stop , I was confused what to do, try crank it about 8-10 time (1 or 2 minutes in between) woudn't start, I sat there helpless for a few minutes, and thinking give it one more crank before I call AAA, amazingly it start right up, Why it started after 10-15 minutes?

Check the code this morning it's 1-1-1

I search the archive there were lots of similar problem but unfortunatly no one seems to post their findings, hope someone can help me here.

I suspected;
1. Crank Position sensor ?
2. Fuel Pump ?
Do I just replace both? please help
Thanks in advance
Tom
