2.4/3.1 LH throttle body the similar? 200 1990

A little background first, I'm going to fit an 2.4 or later LH-jet system to my BMW 2002. I've already got volvo brakes on my car. I have always loved Volvos, but I'm new to the Volvo mechanisms. I've been reading up in my Haynes and Probst's Bocsh FI books. But I have a few questions. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

What size are the 240 ('90/91) throttle plates?

Are the 2.4 and 3.1 LH-jetronic throttle bodies the same size, meaning they use the same gasket and bolt pattern?

Also, can I just swap a later throttle position sensor for a throttle switch on the throttle body.
