OK..what is the easy way now to do head job on 230ft engine Bertone 700

OK... I finally got the intake and exhaust manifolds off on the 1989 volvo 780 turbo and want to know the easiest way to proceed. Do I really need to take off the belts and waterpump pulley to just slip off the top of the timing belt...it only has 25k miles on the belt....any easy tips to proceed will be appreciated..thanks...Jeffrey
