hissing noise from glove box area under boost 700 1990

New problem. Under high boost (740ti), there's a hissing sound (air leak) which seems to be coming from under/around the glove box area, followed by a tiny bit of odourless steam/smoke creeping out from around the climate control levers. Only happens under hard acceleration, then gone once boost returns to normal driving level. Is there any plumbing or valves under the dash, perhaps related to the boost guage that I can check?
