2' SU Carbs 140-160

Volvo never used 2" SU's. They have always been 1 3/4". You can probably find a set off of a Jag. They used HD8's. Funny you should ask that question because I used a set of H6's off of a TR3 on my 2.2 liter Volvo 544. They are about an 1" to an 1.5" longer than an HS6 and really improved the low end and midrange grunt of my engine. The throttle response was also improved.

I also tried a set of HD8's from a Jag. They really didn't start to work well untill I was going 80mph or so. Of course I had no access to different needles so I gave up on that project.

Bottom line: The TR3 carbs worked best on my 2.2 Volvo.

Hope this helps. Jim Robinson
