Brake Light Issues 200 1990

Ok, I just came back from a 2 week vacation in South Africa only to find out something happened to my brakes when I returned.

Here's the situation: With the car in accessory mode/running, and the lights turned on, the two tail lamps work perfectly. When the brakes are applied, the drivers side brake light does NOT work and neither does the stationary light. So, when the brakes are applied, the only light visible is the passengers side brake light (3rd brake light not currently functional). But once I take my foot off the brakes, the drivers side stationary light reappears along with the passengers side light. I tried doing a little fiddling with the white/yellow wire on the tail lamp socket, but it was to no avail. Any suggestions as to what may be wrong? Thanks in advance.
