Paint Repair Tips? 444-544

Everyone who sees my PV thinks it's gorgeous, but when I go to wax/polish it, I see nothing but flaws in the paint.

Maybe I'm OCD, but these things drive me nuts, so I'm trying to fix them, one scratch and ding at a time.

I'm STILL not entirely sure what the car color is - either Dark Toreador Red Metallic or Garnet Red Metallic - but both colors match very well in small spots like scratches and chips.

I've finally reached a place where I need to lay on a large area of paint. The last painter color-sanded right through the color layer on the roof and left it that way. Now I need to re-spray that area and clear-coat it.

How about giving me whatever tips and tricks you've come up with to help me get this body looking as good as it should?

Thanks! Steve
