Threadjack - ITB racers 140-160

IIRC, the front end a-arm bushings, metal sway bar mounts, and the swaybar itself (1.375" tubular) were all custom built by the previous owner, or someone in his family, or somebody. :) My point is, they are not off-the-shelf items. I'm probably hosed when it comes time to replace any of the above.

Re: 88 Fiero ITA weight... this is just one of the reasons I ended up with the ITB 142E. I was all set to go ITA with an '88 Fiero V6, until I ran into a bunch of roadblocks... the weight issue, lack of prepared cars for sale, expendable parts that are getting impossible to find, etc. I'm convinced the '88 has potential to be a front runner in ITA, based on lap times I've turned at Hallett in my own (essentially stock) '88 GT. (The '88 did have better suspension and brakes than the earlier models.)
