blower motor 200 1985

Try as I may, I cannot seem to remove the LEFT side fan from my blower motor. I have everything else off and ready to go, but damn I cannot seem to get it off. The pen is off, I tried WD-40, tried to hold the opposite side with grip lock plyers and rotate the fan but it still will not come off. I have pulled about as hard as I can, and do not want to break the fan, but I am at a loss as to what to do next. Would cutting off the tip of the blower rod extending from the fans (by about 3/16") do the trick? I do not have a small dremmel tool but suppose I could go buy one. I worked on this all day and this last part have me really frustrated. Also, while I am at it, is there anything else you would recommend I do while I am this far into the project? I have another problem in that the condensation will not drain from that tube to the outside, underneathe the car. Instead, it overflows onto the cabin floor inside. I have checked that drain hose and it is clean. WHere else should I check and how do I do it correctly? Many thanks! WHat a way to spend a Fathers Day, huh?
Robert
