Diesel 960 - oil pan o-rings? 900 1993

In an effort to quieten and smooth out the 93 960, I followed Brickboard's advice and filled the sump with synthetic 5W-40.

The cold start clackity-clack is now louder and lasts longer! The oil pressure light goes out though. The car usually takes a bit of cranking to start, especially in comparison to the 97 960 which always starts on the button and is really smooth.

It looks like I will have to bite the bullet and drop the pan to replace the oil pickup o-rings.
It doesn't seem to be too bad a job, thanks to the excellent FAQ post of David Aidnik. I'm not sure if this describes the earlier or later suspension setup though.

FCP sells a sump o-ring kit, trouble is, where do they all go?
Does anyone have a diagram?
I can just see myself with the 960 front end in bits trying to figure out the plumbing!

Thanks again,

Dan

97 960 and 93 960 (the noisy one)
