262c 200

How much did you get the 262C for? The old PRV's don't last like the 4 CYL counterparts but they can run smooth and drive nicely as long as maintenance is done on time with quality products. Since that engine uses the old K-Jet system check for AIR LEAKS. Old vacuum lines, gaskets, and seals are the main reason for bad idle on an old K-Jet System. If you notice a rough idle when the engine is cold also look at a clogged Control Pressure Regulator as a possible cause. If the rough idle is more profound with a warm engine then a faulty Air Aux. Valve and/or fuel mixture control could be your problem. These engines won't very last long but if the body is in good shape you could always go for a Turbo Engine swap and still have a rare bodied Volvo that catches peoples eyes when driving around. If you need any help with the old PRV V6 don't hesitate to drop me a line. I'm a self proclaimed nut of these red-headed step-child engines since I own two of them and I'm still looking for a 79 265GL. Take Care & Enjoy!

Sincerely,
