K-Jetronic problem resolved!

Thanks to all who responded to my questions about my misbehaving K-Jet system in my 1980 242 DL/GT. I went out and looked at it some more and found a rather significant vacuum leak in the form of a hose that had dislodged from the auxiliary air bypass valve. I don't know how I didn't see this the other day, I suppose I was looking for something wrong on a larger scale. After I checked the boot between the airflow meter and the throttle body and saw nothing wrong with it, I moved to the other side of the engine to see what I could see. And then I saw the hose that goes from the aux. air bypass valve to the intake had dislodged. So I put it back on, and the car started on the first crank like it always used to, and it now idles just as it is supposed to without having to keep your foot on the gas pedal. I sure do like it when it costs nothing to fix a car... Thanks again to all who replied with things to look for. You were right, hillbilly!
