740 ignition switch replacement 700

HI, I just did this about a month ago.

You've heard about the 2 slot screws that screw in towards the back of the car, with about 1 inch of space between the screw head and an obstruction.

Tip: pick up an 90 degree angled screw drive set. Very basic and cheap but will make it much easier.

The other hassle was pulling out the instrument cluster (mine has the 2 slots on each side of the metal bezel. When I pulled it out, the 2 metal brackets fell into my lap before I could see how that were fitted, and were a mystery to re-instal, so I just left them out. The cluster seems to stay put without them.

Also, take a minute and label or note some of the connecting wires for the back of the instrument cluster so you don't forget to re attach them.

Good luck.
