Installing '88 wiring harness .... what's the extra bundle??? 200 1986

I'm finally getting my upgraded wiring harness into my '86 with the rotten wiring insulation...

there seems to be an extra bundle with 3 connectors on it... 2- spade plugs (female) and 1- 2 prong male connector (gray connector with 2 rounded corners and 2 square corners)... it looks like it would fit into the connector on my alternator's voltage regulator but I didn't have anything hooked up there with my old harness.

wire colors are as follows...

2 prong gray male connector:

single red/white wire
single blue wire

first female spade plug:

2 blue wires (one blue goes to 2 prong connector)

other female spade plug:

single red/white (goes to 2 prong connector)
single black (this wire is much thicker gauge)

I have an electric green book for the '86 which doesn't seem to have this bundle in its harness but I don't have the same green book for the '88 harness to figure this out with.

If any one can help me figure out where this goes or if I can just leave it off I would appreciate it!

thanks,

jack
