I have done the conversion by following these instructions.
I had a well running wrecked 142E that I was able to pull everything out of.
I would say that if all you have is the fuel injection compatable head but nothing else, and you think that doing some wiring and fabbin your own hoses and whatnot is a lot of work that you would be better off just getting your SU's rebuilt.
