How do you set Throttle Pos. Sensor? 700

Hello,

My mint 88 760 likes to idle around 1400 instead of 750 in neutral, put it in gear and it idles at 750.

I bought a new air idle control valve, I think I threw a good one away for this did nothing. I have cleaned the throttle body and put on a new gasket.

Sometimes it slips down to 750 rpm after running on the road for a while, then stopping, then at the next stop it might stick at 1400, I prefer to put the car in neutral at stops.

I found a new throttle position sensor on e-bay and got it. I know they can stick at times, now I find you have to set this sensor when you put it on. Something about gauging an electronic value or something.

On my old Camry I used to change them and set them by hand until the idle sounded right. They were junk yard units.

Does anyone know what I have to do to put this new Bosch sensor on and set it?
Could it well be my problem?
