both the aq 151 and 171 are based on a b230 not a b23.

the aq151 uses a 8 valva head #531

the aq171 uses a 16 valve head like the one on a b234 but has solid lifters and different cams.

the bore is the same for both 96mm.

the 171 pistons have cutouts for valve clearance.

the early 151 and 171 blocks use a smaller connecting rod witch is not as strong the designation for these is a and b

the late motors use a larger conecting rod, c and d.
