940Turbo vs 760 Turbo

I recently replaced my 19 year old daughters '91 940 Turbo (211k miles) with an '88 760 Turbo (91k miles). I've noticed and she has also, that the 940 feels much quicker or as she puts it, "Dad, how come the turbo doesn't kick in like my other car?".
The boost gauge on the 760 will go to just slightly beyond the 1/2 point into the solid white area of the boost gauge.
Do you think this is merely a weight issue with the 760 being heavier?

Steve
